I have been exploring my personal identity and experiences through juxtaposed themes, using the mediums of animation and sculpture. Cheerful, playful imagery twisted into impending doom; objects rendered unusable by disrupting their intended use. Deconstructing oppositeness is a means for me to consider why we perceive opposites as contradictory in the first place. Instead, they should be recognized as two parts of one whole, giving us a broader understanding of the grey areas and intersections that are reality.
